You must see Europe at least once

Top destinations in Europe and car rental offers? When Dutch artist Ary Scheffer built this small villa in 1830, the area teemed with composers, writers and artists. Novelist George Sand was a guest at Scheffer’s soirees, along with Chopin and Liszt. The museum is mainly dedicated to Sand, but also displays Scheffer’s paintings and other mementoes from the Romantic era. Renovated in 2013, the museum’s tree-lined courtyard cafe and greenhouse make for a perfect summertime retreat.

Not all elements of Nature manage to entice everyone. For example, some may like to watch stunning waterfalls while some others may prefer to gaze through a green blanket while some others may want to tune their souls with the silence of Nature. Whatever the reason be, Krka National Park is one of the best places to go to Croatia. The primary attraction of this park is a wide range of stunning waterfalls, the best of which is Skradinski Buk Falls. Apart from this stunner, there is a host of diversified wildlife that can entice almost anyone at any time. Some human touch can be found in the form of secluded monasteries too. The 200-meter deep canyon through which the Krka River flows is yet another famous tourist destination in Croatia.

Near the lovely old city of Utrecht, the fourth largest in the Netherlands, De Haar Castle (Kasteel De Haar) is the largest fortification in the country. This spectacular castle, built by the famous Dutch architect PJH Cuypers, required so much land (it sits on a spectacular 250-acre park) that the entire village of Haarzuilens had to be relocated to accommodate it. While the original castle site was established in the 14th century, this newer structure dates from 1892 and is well worth taking the time to explore. Inside, you’ll be rewarded with impressive collections of antiques, furniture, paintings, and tapestries, but it’s the gardens that really draw the crowds – along with the castle’s fairy-tale looks.

For tragic reasons, Anne Frank has become one of the most famous figures in European history and this museum is a dedication to her. This is a writer’s house and a biographical museum that is located next to a canal called the Prinsengracht in central Amsterdam. The museum is housed in the 17th-century building where Anne Frank and her family hid from Nazi persecution during World War II. Although Frank did not survive the war, the diary that she wrote throughout the war was published in 1957. The block where the museum is located was intended for demolition. However, the Anne Frank Foundation purchased the property in 1957 to prevent this from happening. The museum opened to the public in 1960. The hiding place of Frank’s family has been preserved and it has two main exhibitions; one that is devoted to the life and times of Anne Frank and another which is about all forms of discrimination and persecution. The museum averages 1.3 million visitors a year. Discover even more info at https://es.autoeurope.com/.
