Project management services with projen.co.uk

Fast and reliable project management services right now? Construction project managers get pulled in lots of directions every day. Project managers are involved in almost all aspects of a project so being able to effectively manage your time is vital. If you can’t effectively manage your time, it’s unlikely you’ll fare any better at managing a construction project. Prioritize your day by determining the items that need immediate attention and those that can be handled later. Don’t waste time on things that don’t need to be addressed immediately if there are more pressing tasks that need your attention. Remember, not every email needs to be answered the moment you receive it. Learn to delegate tasks to other members of the project team. If you have the right people on your team, you don’t need to micromanage every little thing. As long as you are communicating with your team, you should trust their expertise to make decisions and handle what you’ve assigned them to do.

When a problem occurs, rather than raising the issue to the next level of command and asking for direction, his team explores the potential best solutions and presents them to a manager for approval. In order for this to work, though, the team must have understanding of the general direction of the project. In order to achieve this, Williams says he strives to keep lines of communication open, whether via text, emails, or updates on the Google Spreadsheets they share to manage operations. Project management tools can also help increase project visibility to ensure that your team knows where the project is headed. Haydon Osborne from Sevan Multi Site explains how to implement this practice simply: “Look ahead, and go beyond the bare minimum.” Finally, a number of project managers pointed out that when their team focuses on building strong relationships, communication flows more smoothly, which is reflected in more effective collaboration. As Paul Jake of PM Construction put it, “construction is a as much a function of creating and maintaining relationships with people, as it is actually building a building.”

We often get called in by new clients who have employed a consultant to support them to resolve a particular issue, only to find that the consultant prepares an extensive report on the problem without supporting the client with defining an effective solution. Given our multi-disciplined engineering and project delivery skills we are ideally placed to develop these third party consultancy reports into practical and deliverable engineering solutions…better still though, just employ PM PROjEN from the start and we can take you through all phases of the required work. CDM 2007 continued to bring change to the industry and followed on from the original CDM Regulations introduced in 1994. As from the 6th April 2015, the new CDM Regulations came into force replacing the CDM 2007 Regulations. This change was driven by the EU to bring the UK’s health and safety management system fully in line with the EU Directive 92/57/EEC on ‘Temporary & Mobile Construction Sites’, first published in 1992. As a Design and Project Management Company, PM PROjEN are extremely well placed to support our clients through the process of migrating from the CDM 2007 to the CDM 2015 Regulations. Key changes to Regulations included the removal of the CDM Coordinator and increased responsibility for the Client and the Principal Designer, (a new duty holder in the 2015 Regulations).
