Transformative teaching impact

Building your business with transformative teaching… A coach won’t just help you incorporate self-help tips into your life but hold you accountable for the action plan you’ve collaborated on with the goal of keeping you on a path to change. Transformation often inspires doubt, but with your motivational coach by your side cheering you on, you can overcome those speed bumps and keep your growth momentum going.

What Does it Take to be a Transformational Coach? Fierceness is not aggressive or violent. It’s not an “in-your-face” way to confront people and get them to change. Fierceness is not telling people what to do and how to do it. The degree to which you are committed to the well-being of the people you serve will be the degree to which you are willing to be fiercely present, fiercely available and fiercely intentional in your word, deed and actions. Compassion is not sympathy or empathy, but its close. You are exercising compassion when you remain in your own shoes while witnessing another’s human challenges. You know through your own experience that taking on the task of being human is a huge endeavor. Without judgment and without pity, you allow your heart to open and remain open in the presence of the other. Reverence, respect and awe flow through you toward the individual with whom you are sitting; this person who is experiencing some form of human drama. You allow him or her dignity to walk their own unique path of struggles, challenges and joys, while in your heart you hold a space of love and a bittersweet pride, for you know that we all walk this path together. You feel for them and at the same time you remain detached.

Transformational coaching, with its focus on enabling clients to change and transform how they feel, think, and act, can only have come about through the profession gaining experience and reputation whilst drawing on developments in psychology and neuroscience. It has also evolved due to a divergence between what our clients understand, and what they succeed in putting in to practice over the long-term. Therefore, the central tenet of transformational coaching is about identifying and utilising what it is that enables real change. Not just ‘good intentions’ but real sustained transformation. Retaining Attention Spans: Employees’ shrinking attention span demands that organizations create content that keeps the audience engaged. While the traditional training method can’t really guarantee if the learner is really listening, regular interactions and conversations will ensure that the participant is paying attention to what is being taught. Information Retention: Making learners aware beforehand that there will be pop-up quizzes encourages them to pay attention and makes them more receptive to the information. Conducting impromptu quizzes and undertaking Q&A sessions in between the training will keep the trainees engaged and help in analyzing if they’ve thoroughly grasped and understood the content.

Speaking of facilitating training logistics, note that you can reduce your training costs through blended learning. Simply put, fewer trainers for less time, means less expenses for travel, transportation, accommodation, and meals. Of course, neither online training is free of charge; it requires multiple resources and high skill professionals to design and develop high quality online training deliverables. However, you can keep its cost at low levels by taking advantage of the free educational technologies that are available today. All in all, blending different delivering modes in your corporate training can significantly increase your training’s ROI, as reducing traditional training costs can be effectively combined with improved staff performance.
